Ok, so this is my first attempt at making a blog so bare with me. as many of you know (or maybe you don't) i am going to be studying abroad in Australia from feb to the end of june. the blog is my attempt to let people back home (rapid, denver, SD, CO, etc) know how my study abroad is going and not get hand cramps from typing individual emails to everyone.
so if this is the first time you've heard of me going to australia, here's the info that i know right now.
1.) i'm going to be "studying" at the University of Canberra
2.) i'm living on campus in a place called University Village. i don't know my room # or anything other than that yet and i believe its a single room. one thing that's going to be a bit different is that the floors are coed as is the bathroom (i'll probably be talking about how strange this is when i actually get there)
3.) i leave feb 2 and arrive in australia on the 4th. i like how the author of a travel book put it that i cease to exist for an entire day (as a cross the international dateline)
4.) i leave australia june 26th or so unless i decide to stay and travel a bit before heading home. this is also going to be strange because i'll get back to the states before i left australia and people say time travel isn't possible.
and i can't think of anything else i know for sure about my trip, but i hope i can keep this blog thingy updated most of the time. there might not be another blog/entry or whatever they're called for like a month (right before i leave as i'm sure i really won't be able to sleep all that much the days before i leave)
