4 More Days

4 more days and i get to know how comfortable airplane seats actually are. it would probably depend on what kind of plane i'm flying on, but i don't have a clue, i just know i'm flying out of denver on american airlines at 6:42pm on the 2nd and then flying out of LA at 10:30pm on qantas airlines.

i started packing today. i'm actually surprised i'm not waiting until monday or so to start. good thing to, 'cause i've made a little list of things i still need. i think i have all of my clothes packed, although i'm going to be struggling to fit the last several things in the bags (like the clothes i'm going to be wearing for the next couple days). i could unpack some of the stuff and debate again with myself if the shirt or what not is something that i absolutely can't live without. i still do have several more days to decide though.

on a different note, i'm going to be going snowboarding tomorrow, as long as the weather isn't too bad in the morning. and the best part is that i won't have to drive and my ski pass will be free (thanks to riding with kelly and her family and that tomorrow is a free ski/snowboard day for all frontier airlines employees). aaahhh the benefits are more than just a paycheck and airline tickets (the only way i'd hook you up w/ airline tickets is if i get to go too, oh and that you'd only be able to go where frontier flies). i was really hoping i'd be able to have some flight benefits in australia so it would be cheaper to travel around, but nope. although i do have an ISIC (international student id card) which is suppost to get me some good discounts. anyways back to snowboarding. i'm looking forward to going one last time before i go to australia (which would make the total number of times i went this winter 2), but i'm also hoping i don't end up injuring myself say like with a broken leg. how crappy would that be. here i am a few days before going to australia where i'm gonna be snorkeling around the great barrier reef and i end up breaking my leg (i hope i just didn't jinx myself).

well i'm gonna attempt to get some sleep so i can get up to go boarding in the morning (note the attempt since the last several nights my mind doesn't like to shut up, it keeps thinking of australia and what i need to take and what its going to be like, etc.). anyways, 'til next post

12 Days left

So there's 12 days left 'til i leave. i keep thinking that i have so much to do, but i really can't think of what exactly i need to do. i know i need to pack, but that won't happen for at least a week. i guess i still need to get my visa, but that's already been applied for, i should actually know by tomorrow that i have one (i'm assuming they're not going to decline my app for one). its going to be nice that the visa is just going to be electronically linked to my passport, which means i'll have one less thing to worry about loosing. i do have my ISIC card (internation student indentification card or something like that) and i think i really should have sent a different picture, oh well. i mean after all my passport photo has me with like a week old bleached hair. so it says i have brown/black hair, but the picture shows me w/ blonde (well at least the top part of my head).

Anyways so here i am in Rapid, waiting around until most my friends are done w/ their classes. it's nice having flying benefits, since its cheaper for me to fly than it is to drive, plus its faster. i really won't be able to enjoy the benefits much longer (at least the flights from denver to rapid) since i guess when i turn 21 the benefits go away. i'll still have the benefits on frontier though, which is always a plus. well i'm getting tired of sitting at a computer and i really don't have anything else to say/type, so 'til my next post

New Blog

ok so i decided that it would be fun to have a blog that dealt with nothing other than random thoughts that enter my mind, whether they're serious, fun, or just completely strange. the address to my other blog is http://espritsforts.blogspot.com/ so check it out if you want. 'til my next post, laterz

2 more weeks

ok, so maybe i have a little bit more than 2 weeks before i'm on my way. i still really haven't got anything else done in preparing to go except that today i bought a power outlet adapter/converter. i should probably start making a list of what i should/want to take with me, but knowing how i am i'll probably just wait until a couple days before and try to remember the mental list i made. i'm pretty sure though that most of my stuff is just going to be clothes plus a few small electronic stuff (like digital camera, cd player (maybe), iPod). although i'm trying to decide if i need to take my cd player if i'm taking my iPod, because the iPod is going to have all the music i have cd's of plus more.

its kinda weird not being back at school when everybody else is or will be on tues (if you go to CSU or whatnot). i'm kinda glad i'm not in SD right now though, 'cause from what i heard from the 3 A's (Andy, Ashley, and Ashli) and family that it's a tid bit cold there as in the negative numbers.

anyways back to 2 weeks left. i'm thinking they're going to go pretty fast, especially if i'm going to be working everyday (weekday that is) and that each weekend i already have stuff planned (at least tentatively). to those in SD (well rapid) i plan on coming up next weekend. mostly my weekends are going to be hanging out and having fun with people that i won't be able to until after i come back/when school starts again in the fall.

Title (couldn't think of anything else)

I knew it wouldn't be a month before I made another post. Anyways, I really don't know anything new about my trip, I was suppose to get the "departure package" by this weekend, but have I, nope. There's some information I would really like to have, say for example how much my final payment is, mostly because well its due tomorrow (mon, jan 10th).

i have somewhat been getting ready to go (sorta). things i've done to get ready have been getting an iPod so i can take all my punk music with me and hopefully i'll becoming back with a lot of new bands to listen to that nobody has ever heard of before. hmmm...what else have i done in getting ready? i've been figuring out where all the money is going to be coming from in order to go, in doing so i had to cancel my meal plan at Tech for next semester, which kinda is amazing that i had a meal plan because 1) i don't live on campus and 2) i'm not signed up for any classes. this also makes me wonder if i had a meal plan last semester and just didn't know it. luckly if i did it was just money that can be used at the miners shack or the dinning hall and that it would have transferred to the spring semester. meaning that when i go visit fellow techies i'll be able to find out for sure if i do and if i do then i'm going to go on a spending spree or try to get the money back (in cash or check form).

last week when i was talking to one of my high school teachers (one that organized a trip to europe that i went on and yes i still talk to a few of my teachers) said that when they took kids to london, the kids where like "i thought they spoke english here" because they couldn't understand the accent. from what i've heard the australians like the american accent and i like the australian accent so i think it'll all be good even if i can't understand what they're saying for the first several days, weeks, etc (better not be months).

really can't think of anything else that's australia related except that i think it would be fun to go camping around australia all except for the fact that there are dozens of things that can KILL ME almost instantly. maybe there's an area where the number of poisonous snakes, spiders, etc are at a minimum so i can go camping or whatnot. the ocean isn't necessarily any safer either, with the deadly jellyfish, sharks, crocodiles and the water itself. in a book i got for xmas about australia it said that one of australia's prime ministers went for a swim one day and was never seen again.

hey wow this is getting kinda long for having nothing new to really say, but for now i think i'm gonna stop typing (short attention span and i'm tired of sitting)
